Medieval castle, located on the ashes of a Roman fortress and situated on Mount Bonadies. In the Middle Ages it was used by Salernitan for defend themselves from enemies. Considered, today, as one of the most important monument of Salerne. Currently the Castle consists in a central section shielded by towers, linked together with a wall embellished with battlements and it gives a wonderful view on city and on Gulf of Salerno. In the restored area there is a museum, in which you can admire tools used by the inhabitants of the castle, medieval pottery and coins; there are also an exhibition halls, congresses and conferences. It can accommodate up to 130 people.
